Broken Wing

This is...Um no name at this point. He is a Diamondback Dove.  He is the sweetest bird I have ever in my life come across.  Does not make loud crazy noises and does not use his beak to peck at you at all!

We bought him on a whim on Sunday and love him to pieces. When the very careless man at the pet store was putting him in the box he did it with no concern and broke this poor baby's wing. It is so maddening! So he will be in need of bandaging and prayers for a few weeks.

                    We really do love him and want him to heal. Looking at him like this breaks our hearts.

Not liking you right now!

Remodeling IS one of my favorite things to do, but I can honestly say that it is really the beginning and the end that I like the best.  This painting every single inch of the room business is for the birds!  My hand is hurting so bad I had to stop for the night with only one door left to paint.

I am working on Hailey's room now and it is the first of every room of my house that will be redone.  I am really hoping to have everything done before this baby comes. That being said, my belly is going to be getting bigger and it will get harder for me to move. Also, having all the kids home all the time makes things a bit hard when I am the one woman show is this remodeling quest.  There are a few more finishing touches to do in her room and it will be done!

     It is amazing how she has just fit right into our family.  She is so loving and wants to be right with someone always. If you leave her behind she will bark for you, cute now, ask me again in a few months.

Also she takes after the children quite a bit. 

 Her mouth is very much like the girls..... She barks till she gets her way.

As far as taking after the boys.......She likes to leave pee pee messes behind for others to clean up.

Hudson just loves having his picture taken so when I pulled out the new camera he was front and center.
He definitely likes to ham it up so I have to take many to get the "natural look" kind of shots.

He is such a sweet boy I just love taking pictures of him!

He is very boy however, so we had to get a few "cool" pics too!

Got a new toy!!!

To my surprise UPS showed up with my birthday present today!

I am not looking forward to reading the manual but there is so much to learn about my new baby I guess I will have to. Let the picture taking begin!!!!

Double Digits

The Big Ten!!!
Harper had been so bummed that she had big testing at school on her birthday but I think her day made a very nice turn around!


We all sat around the table waiting on dad to come in the room so she could open her gifts...so she she thought. When he walked in he was holding this precious girl.

She was so shocked and excited her eyes quickly filled with tears! Harper had absolutely no idea this was coming. (neither did I really) We never even spoke of a puppy and I pretty much fell upon her yesterday.

She said this is like getting a baby sister! She said she never thought she would get anything like this all to herself. I was hoping this would make her feel special and I think it has.

I cannot believe it has been ten years since my baby girl was born! Awaiting her arrival was so exciting and now she will be a teenager before we know it. Oh how I wish I could slow down time!

Recommitting

I am recommitting myself to blogging. I have so many things to blog about and I just need to jump in so I may be all over the map for a while... So many thoughts... So many things... So many happenings... Time to start blogging!
